The long-form thread

A placeholder essay so we can verify long-form rendering, lists, and pull-quotes.

  • meta

A short placeholder to confirm that the long-form route renders, the prose is comfortable to read, and the typography rhythm carries across multiple sections.

On rhythm

Long-form is different from short-form not just in length but in cadence. Headings should feel like rests; paragraphs should feel like a continued breath; lists should feel like a deliberate slowing down.

A short list to test:

  1. Confirm the slug-from-filename routing works
  2. Confirm generateStaticParams produces the right URL set
  3. Confirm the back-link, tags, and excerpt all render

The work of long-form is the work of staying with something past the moment you'd rather move on.

Replacing this placeholder

Same shape as the articles directory: drop an .mdx file in content/writing/ with the standard frontmatter and the listing picks it up.
